Cooking stir-fry

Posted on: February 19, 2012

One of my favorite quick and healthy dinners to make is a stir fry. A stir fry dish is versatile and a great way to use up any extra veggies I have in the fridge. Start by choosing a protein (chicken, pork, steak, tofu, shrimp). Cook over high heat in an extra large pan or wok with a tablespoon of oil. Chop up whatever veggies you have and toss them in. Quick cooking keeps the veggies full of nutrients. Toss with pasta or brown rice and a little bit of soy sauce or sesame oil. No need for a heavy sauce. A quick and healthy dinner is served!
